MY PROJECTS
Below are some of the projects I worked on in various capacities. Clicking on the entries will take you to the project itself or relevant media if the project is no longer accessible.

CHILLIWACK IMPROV
Artistic Director
I have been the Artistic Director of Chilliwack Improv since February 2023. My co-director and I wanted to introduce Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley to comedy improv through free workshops and affordable performances. We have seen success beyond our expectations, selling out our monthly shows and garnering the attention of local media.
APPTA WEBSITE
Front and Back-end Designer
APPTA's original website content did not accurately reflect what APPTA's operations were and the UX was inconsistent and convoluted. The work APPTA does is specialized -- a poorly designed website could result in missed partnerships with its stakeholders.
I completely overhauled the website in WordPress, making user-centric UX choices. Now, a layperson can visit APPTA's website and have a clear understanding of what they are all about.
DANIELDUTTON.COM
Front and Back-end Designer
Dr. Daniel Dutton needed a website that featured his researchers and his team, beyond what existed on Dalhousie University's website.
The site was not complex, and Daniel Dutton would need to maintain it himself after it was completed, so I designed it in Wix. Following UX and SEO best practices, the site indexes higher than major platforms, like Google Scholar and LinkedIn.

THE ASTRONAUT SELECTION TEST SMART SPEAKER APP
Creative Director, Digital Producer
I was the creative lead on the first smart speaker voice app released by Penguin Random House UK, in partnership with Amazon, Cornerstone, and the European Space Agency.
Considering smart speakers were trending technology at the time with a high-profile partnership with the ESA, third-party vendors were wanting to over-charge for app development.
While many vendors were quoting between $30-50k CAD, I was able to negotiate the app development for only $13k CAD.
I also sought buy-in from Amazon, who helped promote the app, making it among the top 5% most used apps for the first two months after its release.

NOTE: This app is only localized for Europe, so cannot be played in North America without a VPN.
LADYBIRD EDUCATION WEBSITE
Digital Producer
Laydybird Education wanted a new e-commerce website with improved functionality and a design that would allow for additional interactive features in the future.
The site served international ESL agencies, who required a variety of ways to share our books with their students. Some required physical copies, while others also required digital downloads.
We were able to create a method to "unlock" a digital copy of our books after a physical copy was purchased, without increasing production costs.
I was the primary liaison between the Ladybird publishing team and the development team. I determined the scope of work, timelines, and budget.
The final product met all technical expectations, was completed on time, and was 72% under budget.
THE STANLEY ADVENTURE MOBILE GAME
Digital Producer
Amaze Film + Television produced a kids TV show called The Stanley Dynamic for YTV. We were tasked with producing an interactive digital component as well.
In partnership with Relish Interactive, we developed a mobile point-and-click game called The Stanley Adventure for Google Play, iTunes, and YTV.com.
I was responsible for approving design decisions, artwork, and the script. Most importantly, I was responsible for ensuring the game adequately reflected the TV show, so that it would appeal to both casual and long-form gamers ages 8-11 years old.
For the first four months after release, our game beat out games from more established IPs on YTV.com, like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Dora the Explorer.
